Meet Mrs. Beyer
Hello! My name is Meredith Beyer, and I have been teaching since 2003. I graduated from the University of Texas, got married, moved to California, and started my teaching career during one very busy summer. Since then, I have taught kindergarten, first grade, second grade, fourth grade, and 7th/8th grade Pre-Algebra and Algebra. I am very happy to start my tenth year in the Palm Crest Family. This year marks my seventh year with the fabulous second grade team.
My Beyer family includes my husband, Andrew, my son, Owen (12), my daughters, Caroline (10) and Wemberly (6), and our dog, Kuma. Andrew works at JPL, Owen is at the junior high, and Caroline and Wemberly are fellow Palm Crest Panthers. We enjoy visits to the park, camping, hiking, playing board games, and watching Disney movies.
My goal as a teacher this year is to meet the diverse learning needs of all of the students in Room 10. I want to use students' strengths and unique perspectives to build a positive, supportive, and safe learning community in which they feel confident taking academic risks. Parent support is paramount, so I plan to contact you often to keep you involved with the happenings in our classroom. Also, please contact me if you ever have any questions, concerns, or suggestions. Together, I know we can make second grade a fantastic year for your child!
